The Yorkshire Dales is one of 15 National Parks in England. After the North York Moors National Park, it is the next most accessible national park, starting only 35 minutes drive away.
The Dales is famed for its river valleys, hills, unspoilt scenery and small fields marked out by dry stone walls. It is not only fantastic for car touring, but also attracts walkers, cyclists and fishing enthusiasts. Families can enjoy the many attractions, such as the vast array of cave systems, the Dales Countryside museum, Aysgarth Falls, Bolton Castle & Brimham Rocks.
The towns of Leyburn, Richmond, Aysgarth and Hawes are fantastic little market towns well worth a visit, if you like independent shops and great little pubs.
