Christmas 2012

We are looking forward to a full house again this Christmas! Many of last years guests will be returning to celebrate with us, however we are still developing our Christmas package for December 2012

Christmas 2011 (What we did last year)

Our popular package is based on a three night break with the option of extending your stay for an extra night for just £70.00 per person, dinner bed and breakfast.

Christmas Eve

Arrive at your leisure. Tea and Chocolate Brownies will be served in the lounges between 3.30 and 4.30 p.m. You are cordially invited to browse the wine cellar and maybe choose a nice bottle or two to accompany your meals during your stay.

A three course candle lit dinner will be served in the restaurant from 7.00pm.
Our local Silver Brass Band will be popping in to entertain with a burst of carols during the evening, timings are always imprecise as they tour their way around all the local hostelries, ours being the final port of call before they reach their home turf!

For those who wish to attend Midnight Mass there will be a service at the village church just a short walk from the hotel. On return enjoy warm mince pies and a glass of mulled wine.

Christmas Day

Christmas Day starts with a leisurely full English breakfast. The rest of the morning is yours to unwrap presents, or weather permitting, enjoy a stroll in the beautiful local countryside. Advice and maps of local walks will be available at reception.

A four course traditional Christmas Lunch rounded off with coffee and chocolates will be served from 12 noon, all guests greeted with a celebratory glass of Kir Royale.

Christmas cake and a reviving pot of tea will be served in the lounges from 4.30 pm; this is the ideal opportunity to collect a copy of our popular festive quiz.

For those still with an appetite a buffet Supper will be served between 7.00pm-8.30pm.

Boxing Day

Enjoy a full cooked breakfast; relax in front of the fire with the morning papers. For in house guests the day is yours enjoy either an invigorating walk or take the opportunity to hit the sales in York or Harrogate.

A three course candle lit dinner will be served in the restaurant from 7.00pm.

Christmas Three Night Break:   £395.00 per person

If you would like to extend your stay by arriving before Christmas Eve we are offering a special rate of £70.00 per person, per night to include en-suite accommodation, three course dinner and full English breakfast, based on 2 people sharing.
Superior double rooms are available for an additional £10.00 per person, per night.
