There are lots of attractions to visit within 40 minutes of our North Yorkshire hotel.

In terms of 'places', then York is obviously a favourite, as are the coastal resorts of Scarborough and Whitby. The market towns and villages are also popular, with Pickering, Malton, Kirbymoorside and Helmsley being the favourites.

The countryside and particularly the North York Moors National Park is a huge draw for outdoor enthusiasts and walking is incredibly popular.

In terms of specific attractions, we'd advise you to research the following which are all close by; Castle Howard near Malton, Arial Extreme in Bedale, Whitby Abbey, Scarborough Castle, Dalby Forest near Pickering, Beningbrough Hall, Captain Cook Memorial Museum in Whitby, Flamingoland Theme Park & Zoo near Malton, Kiplin Hall near Scorton, Go Ape in Dalby Forest, North Yorkshire Moors Railway in Pickering, Thorp Perrow Arboretum and Falconry Centre and the World of James Heriott in Thirsk.
