The Worsley Arms Hotel | The Area | Local Walks
The Worsley Arms is an ideal base for any walking holiday or for those who enjoy walking but only as a small part of their visit. We're happy to advise you on the many local walks that you can do right from our doorstep; we particularly like to help those who want to combine a wonderful walk with visiting a local attraction, beauty spot, viewpoint, pub or tea room.

Of course, the North York Moors has an array of published and route-marked walks suitable for all ages and abilities. We'd advise a quick trip to the Moors National Park Visitor Centre at Danby, close to Sutton Bank [stunning viewpoint and great for gliding experiences] - they have a stack of information and will be happy to make suggestions of which walks would be most suitable. They even have an online shop if you want to buy walking guides prior to your visit.
Long distance walks are also available, with the Cleveland Way being amongst the most popular. This is a National Trail and is 109 miles long, starting either in Filey or Helmsley. |
