The Worsley Arms Hotel: A brief history

Located in the picturesque village of Hovingham, The Worsley Arms Hotel is well placed for visiting both the historic city of York and the majestic North Yorkshire Moors. Of all the hotels near York we think the location is arguably one of the best.

Built in 1841 in a style described as late Georgian, the hotel’s purpose was to provide accommodation for visitors to Hovingham Spa which was located on the outskirts of the village along the track that we now know as the Ebor Way.

Sadly the spa is long gone, but the hotel remains and continues to welcome travellers from near and far who enjoy the hotels cosy old world charm.
