A typical running order for a Civil wedding ceremony, followed by a reception would be along the lines of:
1.15pm Guests arrive, greeted by Groom and Best Man. Refreshments served in lounges (Tea and scones) 1.50pm Guests to assemble in dining room for civil ceremony. 2.00pm Bride to enter, ceremony to commence. 2.30pm Celebration drinks served in garden. Jazz trio to play on patio. Group photographs, selection of hot and cold canapés served. 3.30pm Bride, Groom and parents receive guests into the marquee. 3.45pm Wedding Breakfast served. 5.45pm Speeches and toasts. 6.15pm Coffee served in hotel and garden. 7.00pm Evening guests to arrive. 8.00pm Bride and Groom to cut cake on dance floor followed by the first dance. 9.00pm Supper served. Midnight Entertainment to finish.
